2degrees Graduate Programme

Because every department at 2degrees is different, our 2-year rotational programme will give you a taste of multiple departments. There are two different programmes for you to choose from:

Corporate programme

If you apply for the Corporate programme your rotations could be in some of these great areas: Digital (think business transformation, CX, EX, UX, automation) Commercial, Sales, Finance, People, Marketing, Insights, Customer Care, Corporate Affairs or Strategy!

Technology programme

If you apply for our Technology programme your rotations could be in some of these great areas: IT (think infrastructure, app development, game design, innovation, architecture, testing, business intelligence, big data), Engineering (think technology operations, security, network engineering, transmission).

We want you to grow into outstanding future leaders, so whichever programme you choose, as a 2degrees graduate you'll enjoy plenty of support and development including formal training, coaching, mentoring and a good dose of on-the-job learning.

Development Programme – Learn Your Keep

Well first of all, we believe that you’ve got what it takes to be an outstanding future leader. That’s why we picked you. But you’re going to need plenty of support along the way – and that’s what our development programme is designed to do. It incorporates formal training, coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job learning.

And because everyone needs a friend, we will pair you with a buddy, likely a previous graduate - someone you can chat to about the new transition and all things 2degrees. You’ll also have your very own coach who will support your development, and you’ll have an opportunity to work on cross-functional projects, gaining exposure across the business.

What makes us different?

We welcome different people

To be different, we need diverse people and different ways of thinking. We look after each other as people, not job titles.

We see the different sides of you

We're humans too and we all have families, friends, pets and passions outside of our jobs. So we understand they all need to live in harmony for you to perform at your best.

Challenger mentality

We encourage our people to think outside of the box and find new ways of doing things.

Career development

We focus on developing T-shaped Grads who build transferable skills across cross-functional team experience, core capability development, external learning, leadership development, project management, coaching & mentoring. We also build deep technical skill through the 3 rotations.

A different tomorrow

Something we create together for our customers and each other.

We do the right thing

We've been fighting for fair to make NZ a better place to live for over 10 years and we're not stopping! Our customers love it and even Canstar recognizes it as we're the most awarded telco.

We hire students studying

Computer Science
Business and Commerce

Available Positions

So, Who are we?

We're the champions of different in an otherwise stale telco market. As New Zealand's newest full-service supplier we believe in different ways of thinking, working and living. We also believe in fighting for fair. It's in our DNA.

We're always working to bring the best deals to Kiwis across this great country. Whether it's slashing mobile costs when we first launched, delivering best in class broadband to the country or launching ground breaking products like Carryover Data or Shared Plans.

Right now, we're looking for degreed-up Kiwis like you to join us. So, if you're keen to use your flash new degree for something a bit different, how about 2degrees?

Corporate Graduate 2021 Intake

Joining 2degrees has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The culture at our company is as good as they say it is.

The teams are inclusive and collaborative making it a fun environment to work in. The learning I’ve gained through this programme, both on the job and through the training provided, has been incredible.

I’ve rotated into the Customer Value Management team and Indirect Sales team, my area of interest leans towards marketing / communications and 2degrees have been so supportive in helping me gain experience in this space.

I am really proud to say I work at 2degrees and am grateful for the opportunities and support the team has given me. About to go into my third and final rotation and I’m excited to see where it takes me next.

The past year with 2degrees has been amazing. Working in a company that embraces their culture and who’s people embody it as well makes it really easy to come to work each day, be that at home or in the office.

I’ve been a project coordinator and a business product manager thus far, both roles providing a huge amount of growth opportunity alongside the support to grow into them.

I love being able to tie the work I do into our purpose: “fighting for fair to make New Zealand a better place to live”, knowing that 2degrees actively working towards this.

Technology Graduate 2021 Intake

I joined 2degrees in February of 2021 and have enjoyed my time here ever since! I have learnt so much and definitely feel like a part of the 2degrees family. We are treated as equals no matter our position and are always welcome to take on new challenges.

The best thing about being a grad at 2degrees is the infinite number of possibilities and the amount of support we receive from people all over the business. Everyone has been wonderful to work with and in no way have we missed out on any opportunities because we are graduates.

So far, I have worked as a Data Analyst/Visualisation Expert in the Technology Insights team and a Project Coordinator within PMO. Having the opportunity to work in these different roles has been amazing and I am so grateful that this programme allowed me to do so.

Although I am sad to be finishing up with the programme at the end of this year, I am really looking forward to seeing where in 2degrees I end up, thanks to all of the experience and incredible skills I have gained along the way.

Technology Graduate 2021 Intake

2degrees has been the perfect place to start my professional career. To start with, the hiring process was super smooth, with each step having good regular comms and not too much work to try and fit in with my busy Uni calendar at the time!

But now that I’m in the job… it’s even better! The Culture at 2degrees is something truly brilliant and admirable for a business their size. From Manager to CEO I genuinely feel like I could have conversations across the whole range and have my ideas listened to and respected.

So far I have worn the hats of both Developer and Security analyst (Quite rare for security in a grad program), and have felt supported, positively challenged, and encouraged to try and make a difference.

In short; 2degrees has helped me to learn, to make connections, to be bold and most of all it has me excited to come into work every day. May sound a bit cringe but it’s the truth!

Come join the team today! 😊

I’ve gotta be honest, I didn't know a whole lot about what I was getting myself into when I signed up to the graduate programme. Lucky for me, 2degrees has been nothing short of an incredible experience, filled with amazing people fighting for fair every day.

We’ve had the opportunity to rotate among three amazing teams, and so far, I’ve been fortunate enough to work as a Business Intelligence Analyst, and an Engineer with our Cloud & Platform Team. I’m off to work in the PMO in about a month’s time, but our work isn’t just limited to that—there’s plenty of projects and initiatives outside of our usual rotations to keep things fresh, from helping to develop the company culture, to pitching in on the office relocation, and even promoting the next grad programme!

2degrees is a company that’s constantly on the hunt for the best tech done by the best people. If you want to work on putting your skills to help improve Aotearoa, this is the place to be!
