Joining 2degrees has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The culture at our company is as good as they say it is.

The teams are inclusive and collaborative making it a fun environment to work in. The learning I’ve gained through this programme, both on the job and through the training provided, has been incredible.

I’ve rotated into the Customer Value Management team and Indirect Sales team, my area of interest leans towards marketing / communications and 2degrees have been so supportive in helping me gain experience in this space.

I am really proud to say I work at 2degrees and am grateful for the opportunities and support the team has given me. About to go into my third and final rotation and I’m excited to see where it takes me next.

The past year with 2degrees has been amazing. Working in a company that embraces their culture and who’s people embody it as well makes it really easy to come to work each day, be that at home or in the office.

I’ve been a project coordinator and a business product manager thus far, both roles providing a huge amount of growth opportunity alongside the support to grow into them.

I love being able to tie the work I do into our purpose: “fighting for fair to make New Zealand a better place to live”, knowing that 2degrees actively working towards this.

I joined 2degrees in February of 2021 and have enjoyed my time here ever since! I have learnt so much and definitely feel like a part of the 2degrees family. We are treated as equals no matter our position and are always welcome to take on new challenges.

The best thing about being a grad at 2degrees is the infinite number of possibilities and the amount of support we receive from people all over the business. Everyone has been wonderful to work with and in no way have we missed out on any opportunities because we are graduates.

So far, I have worked as a Data Analyst/Visualisation Expert in the Technology Insights team and a Project Coordinator within PMO. Having the opportunity to work in these different roles has been amazing and I am so grateful that this programme allowed me to do so.

Although I am sad to be finishing up with the programme at the end of this year, I am really looking forward to seeing where in 2degrees I end up, thanks to all of the experience and incredible skills I have gained along the way.

2degrees has been the perfect place to start my professional career. To start with, the hiring process was super smooth, with each step having good regular comms and not too much work to try and fit in with my busy Uni calendar at the time!

But now that I’m in the job… it’s even better! The Culture at 2degrees is something truly brilliant and admirable for a business their size. From Manager to CEO I genuinely feel like I could have conversations across the whole range and have my ideas listened to and respected.

So far I have worn the hats of both Developer and Security analyst (Quite rare for security in a grad program), and have felt supported, positively challenged, and encouraged to try and make a difference.

In short; 2degrees has helped me to learn, to make connections, to be bold and most of all it has me excited to come into work every day. May sound a bit cringe but it’s the truth!

I’ve gotta be honest, I didn't know a whole lot about what I was getting myself into when I signed up to the graduate programme. Lucky for me, 2degrees has been nothing short of an incredible experience, filled with amazing people fighting for fair every day.

We’ve had the opportunity to rotate among three amazing teams, and so far, I’ve been fortunate enough to work as a Business Intelligence Analyst, and an Engineer with our Cloud & Platform Team. I’m off to work in the PMO in about a month’s time, but our work isn’t just limited to that—there’s plenty of projects and initiatives outside of our usual rotations to keep things fresh, from helping to develop the company culture, to pitching in on the office relocation, and even promoting the next grad programme!
