Supporting the community in which we live and work.

We’re big on bringing New Zealand’s future forward in many ways – and this includes giving back to the community and sharing our knowledge. It all comes back to our value of caring.
The Assurity Staff Charitable Trust (ASCT) is an incredibly genuine and tangible expression of our value ‘We care’. The Trust is 100% funded by staff through regular payroll donations and, as well as the community at large, also supports our own community within Assurity – our employees and their families. In the six months between the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019, the Trust gave to a number of causes including:
  • A staff member for charity work in Nepal
  • A staff member to attend a funeral abroad
  • Two donations towards Givealittle pages for victims of the Christchurch terror attacks
  • A donation towards food vouchers for four families affected by the Christchurch terror attack

Supporting the IT community
Many of our staff are also hugely active in the IT community. People from our testing team support New Zealand’s testing community, for example, through various Meetups like the Ministry of Testing in Wellington and Auckland, the Test Professionals Network in Christchurch and Code Club Aotearoa. Our people are also greatly involved in organizing and/or speaking at conferences both in New Zealand and globally.

Meet Our Grads

We asked our graduates what advice they would have for you…

Zoe Newton-Clark - Assurity FreshStarter
I’d initially developed an interest in testing through taking on a few testing opportunities at my previous company and decided I wanted to pursue testing as a career. Assurity’s FreshStart Programme provided me with the perfect opportunity to learn important consultancy and technical skills and to enter the world of IT without having to return to study at a tertiary institution.
I love that Assurity genuinely cares about our career progression, always supporting us to grow and learn. Highlights for me since completing the FreshStart Programme include being given the opportunities to upskill in both automation scripting and Business Analysis.

Lisa Pin-Yi Chu - Assurity FreshStarter, Jan 2020 intake
The Freshstart Programme has given me foundational knowledge of testing processes and techniques. Assurity has fulfilled my dream of working in the IT field with fantastic people and further learning opportunities with each new project we take on. No two days are the same and I always look forward to what new challenges await.

Zeana Mansell - Assurity Grad, 2019 intake

The Assurity graduate program has been a great place to start my career in IT after graduating. Being in a consultant role has allowed me to gain exposure to different teams, industries, and roles within IT in a short period of time. The training provided on the graduate program set me up to feel confident that I had the right technical and soft skills required for client engagements. Along with the training on the graduate program, Assurity continues to support my professional development and provides opportunities for me to achieve my goals.
