Who are we?
Aurecon is an engineering and infrastructure advisory company, but not as you know it. We’ve re-imagined engineering. We create innovative solutions to some of the world's most complex problems. Our clients’ ideas and aspirations drive all that we do.
This year, we were the first New Zealand engineering company to achieve The Rainbow Tick certification for diversity and inclusion. And in 2018, the Aurecon led North Canterbury Transport Infrastructure Recovery (NCTIR) Alliance project Moving Mountains to Reconnect Communities was announced as the winner of the 2018 Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) People’s Choice Award. We were also honoured to win the Australian Financial Review’s 2019 Top 100 Graduate Employers ‘Most Popular Engineering and Resources Employer Award’.
Innovation, eminence and digital are at the heart of everything we do. We challenge the status-quo and we want to work with people who, like us, are passionate about re-imagining engineering and leaving a legacy for humanity in the 26 countries we operate.
What makes us unconventional?
We explore new frontiers to step from the impossible into the possible.
Flexibility. Choice. Freedom to be you. Make an impact. Design a better future. It’s all possible.
If you choose to work with us, we’ll want you to embrace your uniqueness to re-imagine engineering by asking ‘What if?’, ‘What’s next?’ and ‘Why not?’
From using digital technology to plan and restore transport access to Kaikoura’s communities after major earthquakes. To designing the future of Auckland’s transport with the Auckland City Rail Link to reduce crippling congestion. To advising on the world's largest lithium-ion battery to store renewable energy.
We believe the answers to the world's most complex challenges are out there.

In Australia and New Zealand, Aurecon is proud of its journey towards Employer of Choice for Gender Equality status from The Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA). WGEA awards the citation to organisations which demonstrate action towards removing gender pay gaps and ongoing pay parity. Other citation criteria are in relation to leadership-led gender equality strategy, learning and development opportunities, flexible working, supporting those with caring responsibilities, employee consultation on gender equality matters and gender targets.
As a Workplace Gender Equality Agency Pay Equity Ambassador, William Cox, Aurecon’s current Managing Director ANZ and Global CEO elect, has a commitment to ensuring like-for-like pay parity within the business and championing pay parity within Aurecon’s external network.
Aurecon is also proud of its partnership with Pride in Diversity for LGBTI inclusion, and our commitment to creating sustainable and meaningful Indigenous relationships as highlighted within our Reconciliation Action Plan and through our partnerships for the provision of cadetships that support Maori youth.
