At Countdown our purpose is to make Kiwi’s lives a little better every day. Our focus is on delivering good prices, good acts, and good food for our customers whilst growing our business. Our ways of working ensure we are always improving by working end-to-end as one team, encouraging freedom within a framework, and keeping things simple.
Based in our Support office, Analytics & Insights team is at the core of our business. With more than 3 million customer interactions every week and a highly competitive and ever-changing environment, it is critical that we have great quality data, analytics and insights to support our business strategy. We develop analytics that connect commercial, operational, logistics, customer behaviour (online and in store), inventory and sales data to help the business to make better business decisions. We crunch vast amounts of data to provide insights that deliver what is not immediately obvious even to savvy business experts. We don’t do this in a vacuum - gone are the days that an analyst never leaves the site of their computer. We partner with business owners in multi-functional agile teams to deliver reporting, deep dives on a given topic, develop analytics solution to solve business problems and challenges, or a strategic presentation for a major initiative that is intuitive and easy to consume. We also embed an analytics toolkit / thinking into day to day process of the supermarkets so you have pride of achievement every time you walk into a Countdown.
