Graduate Program

Looking for a one of a kind career pathway with the opportunity to grow in a diverse company?

We offer our Graduates a structured 1-year program, where you’ll be supported and given the tools to grow a successful career in your chosen business stream.

To apply, you must be in the final year of your Commerce & Business (with Accounting) or Commerce & Law (with Accounting) degree at a recognised Australian institution. It is important that you are also an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Vacation Program

A 4-week program, where you’ll be exposed to the work of our first-year Graduates, supporting you making an informed career decision prior to graduation.

To apply, you must be in the penultimate year of your Commerce & Business (with Accounting) or Commerce & Law (with Accounting) degree at a recognised Australian institution. It is important that you are also an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Trainee Program

Partaking in our Trainee Program in your first, second or third year of University is a great way to kick-start your career before graduating and get paid for doing so. As part of our Trainee Program you will be offered part-time work around your university timetable, giving you the opportunity to gain experience to the world of Accounting.

Each firm has different business streams on offer. Whilst we can’t decide what is best for you, we recommend you think about what you enjoyed most during your studies, what your interests are and what your strengths are. More information on the different business streams can be found below.

Audit and Assurance

If the idea of being in an office all day doesn't excite you then you will love working as an Auditor. Working in Audit & Assurance provides you with face to face client contact and the opportunity to travel to new and exciting places. Working in this team you will get to know the ‘ins and outs’ of how a diverse range of businesses and companies work while providing real industry advice.

As a Graduate in our Audit & Assurance team you will gain fantastic and varied experience where no one day is the same. To excel in Audit, you will have strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail and enjoy meeting new people.

Business Advisory

Working in Business Advisory provides you with the opportunity to build strong relationships and interact with people across the business. If you have an analytical and thorough mind and enjoy helping people achieve their goals, then Business Advisory is a good fit for you.

In Business Advisory, you will interact with our SME clients to help closely support and manage their financial matters. As a Graduate, you will gain experience in day to day accounting requirements, tax compliance, preparation of financial statements and gain exposure to growth strategies, tax planning and asset protection leading to having the confidence to provide advice and guidance.

Tax Advisory

If you are someone who has an inquisitive mind and enjoys investigating and identifying principles, then Tax Advisory is for you!

Working in the Tax Advisory team will see you consult daily with the Business Advisory team members assisting to navigate an increasingly complex tax environment providing research and preparing structured advice. You will gain experience in compliance work and exposure advising on SME-related matters where every day brings something new.

Our team of 45+ dedicated agribusiness specialists has the diversity of skills to provide comprehensive integrated financial services to both small and corporate operations, including vertically integrated agribusinesses. Focusing on learning our accounting and rural software, you will get plenty of opportunities to meet one on one with advisors and get an in-depth understanding of each of their fields.

Attend our national agri team conference, and get a chance to network with the entire Crowe Horwath agri team.

Every month you will also get a chance to network with important businesses in the area, for example all the major banks. You will also be a part of farm discussion groups with important industry representatives from companies such as Dairy NZ and Dairy Women’s Network, as well as joining our monthly Crowe Horwath agri team calls featuring prominent speakers from within the industry.
