1) What attracted you to the Goodman Fielder Dream Big Graduate Programme?

The main reason I was attracted to apply for the Dream Big Programme was diversity of the products and the variety opportunities I would experience. Goodman Fielder has such a wide variety of products and the idea of working with some of New Zealand's most iconic and loved brands really excited me as a university student who loved marketing! Also Goodman Fielder is a unique FMCG company to work for because the majority of our products are produced in New Zealand so you have the opportunity to be exposed from development to production of our products right through to selling the products to customers.

2) What did you enjoy most about the Dream Big Graduate Programme?

The opportunity to actually have real responsibility! As a graduate I had the perception going into the programme that I would be doing a lot of shadowing and observing - but that was not the case. Right throughout the programme and across all my rotations I had projects and roles that actually had an impact on how the business functioned, so I felt a real sense of achievement right throughout. Of course you aren't just thrown in the deep end - the teams I worked with and all of my managers were really supportive.

3) What do you think makes Goodman Fielder a great place to work?

The best thing about Goodman Fielder is the food! I'm passionate about food and it's so great to be working alongside so many passionate people that really care about creating fantastic products that people love to eat! I grew up watching Meadow Fresh advisements so for me the most exciting thing is definitely working with such an amazing and wide range of products.

4) Any advice for someone who is considering applying for the Dream Big Graduate Programme?

The biggest piece of advice would be to know about the Goodman Fielder products - people here are passionate about the products and brands and it's an easy way to show that you are interested in Goodman Fielder.

1) What attracted you to the Goodman Fielder Dream Big Graduate Programme?

The main attraction for Goodman Fielder Dream Big Graduate Programme was the rotation system, and the opportunity to work in various facets of the business. To me, this was an opportunity to be pushed outside of my comfort zone, meet some awesome people and really grow as an individual. After leaving University, I was intent on a position where I was able to continue learning. Being able to work for one of Asia/Pacific’s leading food companies while genuinely learning something new every day really ticked all of the boxes.

2) What did you enjoy most about the Dream Big Graduate Programme?

The responsibility given to me as a graduate. When I first started the programme I was a little anxious as to how I could add tangible value to the company. It didn’t take long before I found my feet and was given some real responsibility in the form of production co-ordinator. I was then able to work on reducing waste of our Vogel’s products, one of New Zealand’s most trusted brands made in New Zealand’s largest bakery. Now, working as an Assistant Brand Manager for Puhoi Valley and Tararua Dairy Co., the opportunities within this company do carry responsibility. Whatever your background - if you’re willing to learn and work hard, you can really make a lasting impact.

3) What do you think makes Goodman Fielder a great place to work?

The people. Goodman Fielder is made up of people from different walks of life and each one I have encountered has taken the time to get to know me. A common theme, but the amount of things I have learned from my colleagues has had the biggest impact on my development more so than anything else. “There are no silly questions” is a common ethos within Goodman Fielder which really helps the transition from University to working life that much easier. People aren’t afraid to have a laugh as well which makes for a good working culture.

4) Any advice for someone who is considering applying for the Dream Big Graduate Programme?

It’s a great company; the people are awesome, you will be constantly learning and pushed out of your comfort zone – but you will have the opportunity to make a real impact at one of New Zealand’s top companies. So, get onto it now. Because if you don’t, someone else will!

1) What attracted you to the Goodman Fielder Dream Big Graduate Programme?

Cross-functional rotations across the business, allowing me to build a solid foundation for a successful career. The Dream Big Graduate Programme is a programme that is tailored to one’s individual interests and broader career goals while it also gives me the opportunity to experience different departments indirectly related to my degree. 2) What have you enjoyed most about the Dream Big Graduate Programme so far?

Working alongside and learning from senior leaders and highly talented colleagues to boost both my personal and professional growth, while being able to develop a diverse set of skills. In my current rotation I have also been given the opportunity to be part of more hands-on projects involving some time out in the trade and experiencing roles outside of the Head Office.

3) What do you think makes Goodman Fielder a great place to work?

Goodman Fielder is one of New Zealand’s leading food companies with products that touch people’s lives every single day. Everyone in the office is very supportive and always more than happy to take time out of their busy schedule to help you. 1) What attracted you to the Goodman Fielder Dream Big Graduate Programme?

The opportunities available at New Zealand's largest FMCG business. Being interested in business, I knew that through the rotations the programme offered I would undoubtedly find my area of passion.

2) What have you enjoyed most about the Dream Big Graduate Programme so far?

I have enjoyed taking on the responsibility of running my own project that has a meaningful impact on the company, all from day one. Seeing your hard work materialise into tangible results is extremely rewarding. I was really well supported whilst taking on my project, and was taught everything I needed to know. I have also been able to apply a lot of what I learnt at university.

The opportunities to work alongside some hugely successful people who are happy to teach you everything they know.
