When the phones ring in our Consumer Claims center it’s because some of our State, AMI or NAC customers are having a really bad day – they may have crashed the car, come home to discover that they’ve been burgled, flooded the kitchen, or broken their favorite pair of glasses. From losing everything to live’s smaller disappointments, our Claims teams are here to help our customers get back on their feet. As one of our Claims Consultants, you’ll work in one of these areas:
- Customer Solutions - you’ll either resolve claims immediately or refer the customer to a colleague in the Fast Track or Case Management teams
- Fast Track - you’ll be proactive in contacting customers to manage and close simple claims quickly; these claims are typically closed within 30 days.
- Case Management - you’ll use your depth of knowledge and expertise to assist our customers in with more complex claims by claims type (Motor or Property).
Whichever team you work in, you’ll need to be passionate about our customers and the service you deliver. You’ll genuinely want to help our customers with their claims, understanding how important they are, and aiming to make the process as easy as possible for them.

Our Case Managers are passionate about our customers and the service they deliver to them. Whilst the claims vary from day to day, one thing you can be assured of is that you will be surrounded by supportive colleagues and a dedicated Team Leader as you help our customers in their times of need.
You’ll work with a portfolio of customers, assisting them with their claims. You’re there when something unfortunate has happened to them and they need you the most; they’ve had a car accident, been burgled, or been affected by good old Kiwi weather. You’ll provide them with advice and guidance and also liaise with internal and external service providers and brokers, managing the claim through to settlement.
Our Case Managers are customer-focused and experienced in providing excellent service. They take real pride in their work, like to see things through and consider the customer in everything they do. Is that you too?

You’ll show empathy for their situation and will need the ability to ensure the claims process is made as easy as possible. You’ll be the type of person who can have real and genuine conversations with customers both over the phone and via email.
