We also want our customers to know they made the right decision when they chose AMI or State, and we want to support customers through their entire insurance journey.
Our Personal Insurance Consultants are customer-focused people who help provide our customers with solutions to protect the things that are important to them. With customers always at the forefront of your mind, you’ll identify individual customer needs by asking the right questions, and then developing the right solutions for them. You’re focused on maximizing the quality of our customers’ interactions and experience with us.
You’ll thrive in this team if you’re a sales and service guru, who loves to achieve and exceed their targets. You’ll bring a high standard of written and verbal communication skills, and be able to build a natural rapport with customers over the phone.
Our Growth Hub team is all about small business insurance. We work with small business owners to protect their livelihood. Think of Riki (your local cafe owner), Dave (the builder who built the house you grew up in) and Amanda (the plumber who turned up at 1 am last weekend to fix your broken toilet, thanks to Amanda!). There are nearly half a million small businesses in New Zealand, and they are the backbone of every community. By protecting them, we help build stronger communities, making New Zealand a safer place.

As a Business Insurance Consultant, you’ll respond to inbound calls as well as making outbound calls to provide excellent quality service to new and existing customers. You’ll be someone who can identify opportunities to initiate needs-based, value-adding conversations by offering solutions that meet customer needs whilst also smashing revenue growth and retention targets.
You’ve got proven the experience of providing customers with simple solutions based on their individual customer needs. We want our customers to stay with us for life, so you’ll also be a relationship builder who can provide exceptional service for our existing customers too.
Our Business Partners business unit specializes in the Bank General Insurance industry, underwriting insurance for some of New Zealand’s leading banks. We distribute insurance products through BNZ, ASB, Westpac and the Co-operative Bank. We leverage the relationships that banks have with their customers to try and sell general insurance products to the bank’s customers.
As a Customer Service Consultant in our Business Partners team, you will deliver quality service to new and existing bank customers through a mixture of inbound and outbound calls. We provide the right solutions and products to customers to make their world a safer place. You’ll provide a comprehensive insurance service and identify opportunities to initiate needs-based, value-add conversations; offering solutions that meet customer needs (including up-selling and cross-selling).

You have a natural aptitude for identifying opportunities to offer great customer solutions that also grow our business.
