The opportunity:

Our Bank Partners team specialise in the Bank General Insurance industry, underwriting insurance for some of New Zealand's leading banks. As a Partner Support Consultant or Customer Service Consultant in our team, you'll help customers and bankers to be prepared for the unexpected and unfortunate, such as crashing their pride and joy, having their home burgled, setting their kitchen on fire, or suffering damage as a result of extreme weather and natural disasters. We help our customers and bankers to understand the importance of insurance, making sure they have the right protection and being there to put things right when the worst happens.

We're looking for customer focused people to help provide our customers and bankers with the right solutions to protect the things that are important to them. With customers at the forefront of your mind, you will identify opportunities by asking the right questions to maximise the quality of our customers' interactions and experiences with us. You'll use your outstanding ability in identifying individual customer needs and then developing the right solutions with them.  The roles also support our frontline bankers by providing them with insurance and underwriting knowledge to enable them to support their customers.

Our operating hours are Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 8pm and Saturday, Sunday 8.30am - 5pm. We have a variety of shifts available (37.5 hours per week) and you would be based in our Sylvia Park office.

What we're after:

Insurance experience is great but a hunger to learn and a desire to add value to each and every customer and banker interaction is most important. Essential to the success of this role are your outstanding communication skills and your drive for results. You'll also be able to professionally handle customer and banker objections and have a natural aptitude for identifying opportunities to offer great customer solutions that also grow our business.  As we use telephone and email as our main form of communication with our customers and bankers, having worked in a contact centre environment will be an advantage.
