What does this team do:
As part of the support team you will deal with wide variety of tools and technologies which are aligned with the latest trends in the current market. This team works on supporting such complex solutions allowing you to use your initiative and decisive skills. Your role will be critical in post-delivery support of our world-leading health software solutions to our clients.
What will your typical day look like?
You will be working closely with clients on a day to day basis requiring you to understand the problem and work your way towards the solution by using your technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills along with latest tools. You will be required to work on complex applications which have been customised for each site differently. On top of this you will document outcomes, communicating what you have achieved and the skills you’ve learnt with the team in a knowledge sharing session. Additionally there is opportunities to peer review the work of your team members and help to unblock their tasks, finding solutions to continually improve the implementation process and automation tasks.
Not only will you be the forefront of Orion Health’s technical support we will give you personal time each week to work on achieving your own goals and personal projects within Orion Health.
How will you add value?
You love to solve problems, have an eye for detail, enjoy understanding how things work under the hood, and enjoy a team environment. You have good verbal and written communication skills, work well in a relaxed work environment with a strong data science culture. Your strengths are your communication skills and you're able to work closely with project, testing and development teams with an aim of resolving complex issues. This means you'll be a problem solver and have an openness to sharing information with your team members around you.
Any knowledge or experience in the following technologies/practices would give you an advantage but is not an expectation, whatever gaps you have we will teach you!
- Experience using and querying RDBMS database technologies, preferably MS SQL Server, Oracle and T-SQL
- Understanding of communication protocols e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP(S), FTP etc.
- Experience working with web technologies including HTML, stylesheets, web services and API’s (SOAP/REST)
- Basic Linux knowledge
- Experience configuring enterprise software and a basic understanding of web application architecture e.g. Apache/IIS, Load balancing, redundancy
