Our Apollo Programme is all about giving our next generation of employees the opportunity to gain cross-functional insight, identify opportunities for us to improve, and develop our overall leadership and technical capability. It's about developing and supporting change agents who will challenge us and shape our future!
Apollo has two streams -
- Generalist stream - participants rotate throughout various teams and departments over a two year period. Generalists can be graduates or non-graduates - they just have to be 100% committed and go-getters!
- Technical stream - this programme gives participants the opportunity to focus on developing their technical skills at the same time as developing a broader understanding of how their department(s) operates. It also includes rotations throughout one or two departments over a two year period. This stream is open to Graduates only.
All participants are permanent employees and at the end of the programme they can apply for a role anywhere in the business.

To further support our emerging talent, we also have a Young Professionals network. YoPros offers all of our young professionals the opportunity to get to know each other, learn from internal or external speakers, connect and collaborate at events throughout the year.

Our pre-employment assessments assist us in selecting and developing high performing staff. They enable us to see whether you would be a great fit with Trustpower and the role you’ve applied for. Assessments can include verbal, numerical and logical reasoning, as well as a personality profile.
